A storm rolled in later that day, sudden, fierce, and still early enough for the Lalondes to be entertaining their guests at a reasonable hour. Late enough, too, for John's father to be disinclined towards braving rain and bluster for the trek home. Ms. Lalonde bemoaned sleeping arrangements between allusions to things John only half grasped, every last protestation falling to implacable (if sympathetic) ears. "Some things simply can't be helped," was what his father boiled it down to.
Half the concerns were hogwash; the Lalonde residence had a guest room and daybed in the study on perpetual standby, of course. (Ros

John: Confess Undying Like He was a little different after everything. Not that he wasn't a derp anymore. Derp was his default setting. He couldn't help that. But he carried himself a little differently now, and didn't respond to everything with the same exuberance. She remembered when John Egbert was the dictionary definition of exuberance.John: Confess Undying Like by ~Threeley
She guessed she was different after everything, too. She didn't really notice it at first that's not the sort of thing you notice yourself but others commented on it. She wasn't the dictionary definition of grimdark anymore, either. That is, if grimdark ever had a dictionary definition.
Maybe that evened them
| I'm a fannish person who enjoys fannish activities. This is the account where I revel in/celebrate that. I tend to be an animation fan first and foremost, but I've found that anything with a good story and appealing characters can lure me with its wiles. It's mostly the characters that do it for me, even if the plot doesn't end up holding its own. When it's done well, fan fiction = VERY YES. I enjoy gen fic the most. Related to that, I'm much, much more of a friendshipper than a shipper shipper, though I do have a mini-pantheon of OTPs I occasionally pay homage to. Even some crack pairings! But I'm evil and will never ever post any art or fiction related to those guilty little pleasures unless I feel contrary (which happens with surprising frequency) and end up posting them after all. Confused yet? I know I am. On the other hand, I don't do as much fanwork as I'd like, so maybe you won't have to worry about that last part too much. Not that you did anyway. To wrap up, I love cartoons, fanfic and fanart based on cartoons, and chocolate. Books are cool too. Stay in school, kids! |
